After two days of the 523rd AUN-QA external reassessment, LHU has officially completed the 523rd external reassessment by the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) for four undergraduate programs: Business Administration, Pharmacy, English Language, and Accounting. These programs were first assessed by AUN in 2021 and have now entered their five-year reassessment cycle after a period of continuous improvement. The closing session, held on the morning of June 11, 2026, highlighted many useful comments and recommendations for both the University and the four programs.
More than a routine quality assurance exercise, this AUN-QA reassessment gives LHU an opportunity to reflect on the five-year journey of continuous innovation of the four programs and the University as a whole.
More importantly, it marks another step forward in the University’s ongoing commitment to building a learner-centered educational environment that embraces continuous improvement and deeper integration with the region and the world.
While 2021 marked the milestone when these four programs first achieved AUN-QA accreditation, the period from 2021 to 2026 has been characterized by the University’s efforts to transform the assessors’ recommendations into tangible improvements. According to the University’s report, the faculties have comprehensively reviewed program learning outcomes, updated curricula to align with industry needs, introduced innovative teaching approaches, and expanded experiential learning opportunities for students.
At the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, the University has continued to strengthen its practice-oriented training model by investing in simulation laboratories that replicate real business operations, enabling students to gain practical experience throughout their studies. The Accounting program has also consistently integrated digital transformation trends and technological applications into finance and accounting education, helping students adapt to the rapidly evolving labor market.
Meanwhile, at the Faculty of Administration and International Economics, the Business Administration program has expanded its corporate partnership network, enhanced experiential learning activities, and strengthened entrepreneurial competencies among students. Academic competitions, professional contests, and industry engagement programs have been regularly organized to help students better understand real workplace demands.
For the Faculty of Pharmacy, the 2021–2026 period has seen substantial growth in practical training, internships, and international cooperation. The University has continuously invested in laboratory facilities while strengthening collaborations with hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and international experts to enhance students’ professional competencies. These efforts have enabled the program to better meet the evolving demands of the healthcare sector.

At the Faculty of English Language, the training focus has expanded beyond language ability. Students are now also trained in international communication, professional skills, and intercultural understanding. They have more chances to join international academic activities, work with foreign experts, and practice English in real-life settings.
The development of these four programs reflects the University’s overall quality development. From six AUN-QA-accredited programs prior to 2021, the University now has 18AUN-QA accredited programs and two programs accredited by ABET. In 2024, LHU became the first university in Vietnam and Southeast Asia to achieve institutional-level AUN-QA accreditation under version 3.0.
With the positive feedback from the assessment team and the University’s commitment to continuous improvement, there is strong reason to expect favorable outcomes for all four reassessed programs.
The official results are expected to be sent to the University at the end of August 2026.
