LHU attends 9th National Medical Education Conference

On November 8, 2025, representatives from LHU’s Educational Testing & Quality Assurance Office and the Faculty of Pharmacy attended the 9th National Medical Education Conference, co-organized by the Vietnam Association for Medical Education (VAME) and Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

The conference, themed “Medical Education in the Digital Era – Opportunities and Challenges”, brought together more than 800 delegates, including administrators, experts, lecturers, researchers, and students from over 40 health sciences training institutions nationwide, as well as international speakers from the United States, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The conference sessions focused on key issues in modern medical education, including digital transformation and AI applications in training, innovations in teaching – learning methods and competency assessment, faculty development, interprofessional education, clinical training, and the development of medical students’ professionalism.

At the conference, the LHU delegation actively engaged in academic discussions and professional exchanges with fellow institutions to update the latest trends in medical education reforms and share practical experiences in implementing digital transformation in higher education.

Notably, Ms. Ngo Dinh Hoang Diem, Deputy Head of the Educational Testing & Quality Assurance Office, and Mr. Doan Van Vien, lecturer of the Faculty of Pharmacy, presented a poster titled “Application of NotebookLM in Teaching Practical Clinical Pharmacy at Lac Hong University”.

The poster highlighted research findings and experiences using the NotebookLM tool to support Pharmacy students in synthesizing, systematizing, and applying clinical knowledge. This solution contributes to developing students’ critical thinking, self-directed learning, and decision-making skills amid the digital transformation of higher education.

LHU’s participation and presentation at the 9th National Medical Education Conference demonstrate the University’s commitment to academic inquiry, innovation, and continuous improvement in teaching quality, especially in applying technology and artificial intelligence to health sciences education.
