To ensure consistency and academic standards, the Faculty of Pharmacy has issued the following regulations regarding the presentation of graduation theses and the formatting of references:

Below are some key regulations:
1. Thesis Regulations
The thesis should be between 40 and 60 A4-sized pages (single-sided printing), excluding lists of figures, tables, charts, references, and appendices. The thesis should include the following sections in order:
	- Cover page
 
	- Title page
 
	- Abstract (maximum 1 page)
 
	- Table of contents
 
	- List of abbreviations and symbols (if applicable)
 
	- List of tables (if applicable)
 
	- List of figures, diagrams, and charts (if applicable)
 
	- Acknowledgements
 
	- Chapter 1. INTRODUCTION
 
	- Chapter 2. LITERATURE REVIEW
 
	- Chapter 3. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
 
	- Chapter 4. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
 
	- Chapter 5. CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
 
	- References
 
	- Appendices (if applicable)

2. Referencing and Citation Guidelines
	- Citation Style: American Medical Association (AMA), 11th edition.
 
	- Citation Principles:
	
		- Sources must be cited immediately upon use.
 
		- References should be numbered in the order they appear in the text.
 
		- Reference numbers must be superscripted and placed directly after the cited content.
 
		- If a statement is supported by multiple sources: list reference numbers in ascending order, separated by commas without spaces (e.g., 5,17,91).
 
	
	 
	- Types of Citations:
	
		- Direct citation: Use quotation marks and insert the reference number immediately after the quote.
 
		- Paraphrased citation: Restate the author’s idea in your own words and still include the reference number.
 
		- Secondary citation: Should be minimized; only cite the intermediary source if the original cannot be accessed.
 
	
	 
	- Formatting the Reference List:
	
		- Journal Articles: Use full names for Vietnamese authors.
		Format: Author(s). Title of the article. Journal Name. Year;Volume(Issue):Page–Page.
		Examples:
		
			- Vo Doan Trung, Pham Ngoc Hoa, Tran Thi Mai Thuy. The value of 3 Tesla MRI in diagnosing glenoid labrum tears. Medical Journal. 2020;24(2):65–70.
 
			- Nejad AG, Kheradmand A. Five rare psychiatric syndromes co-occurring together. Neurosciences. 2009;14(1):91–3.
 
		
		 
		- Books:
		Format: Author or editor. Book Title. Edition number. Publisher; Year.
		Example: Ta Van To, Nguyen Son Lam. Diagnostic Pathology of Lung Cancer. Medical Publishing House; 2022. 
		- Academic Theses and Dissertations (Undergraduate, Master's, Doctoral):
		Format: Author. Title of the Thesis. Type of thesis. Institution; Year.
		Example: Tran Thien Khiem. Surgical treatment of orbital tumors using transcranial microsurgery. Doctoral thesis in Medicine. University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City; 2022.
